ताड़ासन करने के लिए दोनों हाथ उपर करके सीधे खड़े हो जायें, लम्बी श्वास लें, हाथ ऊपर धीरे-धीरे उठाते जायें, ध्यान रहे कि साथ-साथ पैर की एड़ियां भी उठती रहें। पूरी एड़ी उठाने के बाद शरीर को पूरी तरह से तान दें और लम्बी श्वास लें। ऐसा करने से स्नायु सक्रिय होकर विस्तृत होते हैं और यह कद बढ़ाने में सहायक साबित होता है।
1- 2 ग्राम अश्वगंधा चूर्ण, 1- 2 ग्राम काले तिल, 3 से 5 खजूर को 5 से 20 ग्राम गाय के घी में एक महीने तक खाने से शरीर बढ़ने में लाभ होता है। साथ में पादपश्चिमोत्तानासन, पुल्ल-अप्स करने से एवं हाथ से शरीर झुलाने से ऊँचाई बढ़ती है। व्यायाम के अलावा भोजन में प्रोटीन, कैल्शियम तथा विटामिनों की जरूरत बहुत आवश्यक है तथा पौष्टिक भोजन करने से लम्बाई बढ़ने में फायदा मिलता है।
